Re-Elected Chairperson, Economic Development Committee

The members of the Economic Development Committee unanimously re-elected Scott Ottenberg, Council Member, Ward Three, as Chairperson. Joe Garritano, Council Member, Ward Eight and Mayor Pro Tempore, nominated Ottenberg for re-election. Katie Dodwell, Council Member, Ward Four, was re-elected as Vice Chairperson. Ottenberg also continues serving on the Planning and Parks Committee.

Members of the Wildwood Economic Development Committee elected Scott Ottenberg as committee chairperson by a unanimous vote. The committee seeks to develop a vibrant Wildwood business community while protecting the rural character of the city.
Election to Two-year Term
April 5, 2022, Municipal Election Results
Scott Ottenberg won sixty-four percent of the vote against an incumbent to continue serving Ward Three as Council Member for a full two-year term. Scott now serves on the Economic Development Committee and the Planning and Parks Committee. Scott can be seen, second from right, taking the oath of office on April 25, 2022.
City Council Appointment
July 14, 2021
Scott Ottenberg was appointed on June 14, 2021, to the Wildwood City Council Ward 3 vacant position replacing Dr. Ken Remy, who resigned in April to take a job in Cleveland.

Mayor Jim Bowlin conducted an extensive search, interviewing several candidates. “His neighbors and everyone around him seem to think the world of him,” Bowlin said.
Remy attended the meeting and voiced his approval, saying he believes Ottenberg will make a “fantastic candidate.”

Ottenberg's nomination was confirmed by a unanimous vote of the city council.

-Community Outreach Task Force
Community Service
Scott Ottenberg has been serving Wildwood and the surrounding community since since moving here with his family in 1996. His service to the community includes:
Volunteering at Haven House which provides temporary housing for out-of-town families with children receiving medical treatment in the St. Louis area
Self-defense instructor (3rd Degree Black Belt) at several YMCA locations
Participation for eighteen consecutive years in the annual Tour-de-Cure, a one hundred mile cycling event that raises funds for the American Diabetes Association
